Conceptualising new artistic interventions in AI: Mushon Zer-Aviv
About this Event

Please note: is obligated for entrance to the workshop.

The future of art involves artificial intelligence. Mushon Zer-Aviv will share his knowledge and know-how on this topic at Waag. This workshop can help you develop existing creative ideas, and also spark some new ones. The workshop will open with a set of provocations, including references from art, design, science and philosophy. Participants will then experiment with methods for creating scenario narratives, and learn to anticipate friction as an opportunity for conceptualising new artistic interventions in AI.

The workshop takes place on September 27 and consists of two parts: a theoretical part from 10.00 to 12.30 and an interactive part from 14.00 to 16.30, separated by a light lunch. Tickets are available for €15. The event will be in English. This workshop is part of Expedition: future.

The Abnormal Automation workshop will focus on questions critical to Anticipatory Design, inquiring:

  • What is worth automating? What is not?
  • How do we avoid the status quo bias amplified by this technology?
  • What past data do we feed the future? What data do we leave in the past?
  • How can art affect change in society's adoption of AI?
  • Who is allowed to anticipate through Anticipatory Design?

Dit event is mede mogelijk gemaakt door het European ARTificial Intelligence Lab, met dank aan het Creative Europe programme van de Europese Commissie.
