The Fundraising Weekend for Champions & Legends

The ABIS Champions & Legends Weekend is the premier event supporting Black athletes by providing scholarships, life skills training, and strategic guidance. ABIS is a 501(c)3 organization that provides programs and services that eliminate structured, systemic barriers for Black student-athletes and coaches.

ABIS will host its second annual Champions and Legends Weekend and Awards Show at Caesars Palace Las Vegas honoring Blacks in sports. This inspirational, educational and entertaining event will recognize coaches, players, and historical sports figures in professional and collegiate sports. Sonny Vaccaro, the inspiration for the movie "AIR", who single-handedly transformed sports culture by signing Michael Jordan to Nike, will be the keynote speaker. Come meet the 2023 Award Honorees which include Athletic trailblazers Edwin Moses, Tracy McGrady, Nikki Fargas, President of the WNBA 2022 Champions Las Vegas Aces, and Grammy Nominated Artist, Chuck "D", member of Public Enemy. Attend Professional Development Sessions led by sports legends to level up in wealth building, sports law, health and mental wellness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
