How do you change someone's mind about the most important thing in the world? Join Anita Chitaya on her empowering journey to do just that.
About this Event

Anita Chitaya has a gift; she can help bring abundant food from dead soil, she can make men fight for gender equality and she can end child hunger in her village. Now to save her home from extreme weather she faces her greatest challenge: persuading Americans that climate change is real. Travelling from Malawi to California to the White House she meets climate sceptics and despairing farmers. Her journey takes her across all the divisions shaping the USA, from the urban-rural divide, to schisms of race, class and gender and will take all her skill and experience to persuade us all that we are all in this together. The film recognizes that transformative change is needed and asks whether that is possible and what it would look like. It finds answers to both these questions. Join us to experience this inspiring film and stay for tea/coffee and biscuits at the end to share our reactions, thoughts, concerns and ideas.

The Institute is close to Aberdour station and is on the number 7 bus route. There is free parking at the station and a small number of disabled spaces next to the venue. The venue is also fully accesssible.
