Join the Anarchist Black Cross a for a night of writing letters to prisoners who are incarcerated for their role in class struggle, anti-colonial and anti-racist work, liberation from patriarchy, defense of the earth and the commons, abolitionist, and anti-state organizing.Writing to our incarcerated comrades is a great way to let them know that they are not forgotten, that people have their back, and that we are carrying on their struggles while they're on the inside. It is also an important way to demonstrate to the prison system, that our captive comrades have supporters and cannot be abused without consequences.
We will have a list of suggested prisoners to write to, along with information about them, and suggestions on how to write a letter to a prisoner.
We will provide paper and pens. Those who prefer to write on a computer are welcome to bring a laptop.
The ABC will take care of postage and send the letters.
