Director of Programs, Carlos Bossard will welcome us to the museum and provide historical & cultural information pertaining to their art collections. Dr. Courtney Joseph, our keynote speaker, and will present about Chicago's historical and cultural ties to Haiti. And we have a Haitian Drum performance! In addition to earning 2 CPDUs and a raffle, I'm confident this venue and program will offer a rich cultural experience, and delicious lunch to follow.
Our lunch will be catered on site, and will consist of several haitian specialities such as Haitian chicken wings, griot (fried pork dish), black beans and rice, haitian mac and cheese, pikliz (spicy pickled condiment), and tablet (cashew based dessert, similar to a brittle). During our lunch, we will also recognize our awardees.
