This medieval hoodie is a shoulder length mantle, with buttons up the front, and a fitted hood with or without a long liripipe tail. After taking measurements, students will learn to chalk a personalized pattern on to their fabric. Sewing focus will be on the insertion of gores into shoulder slits in the fabric.
Bring to class:
1-yard felted wool or linen fabric
Sewing machine
Sewing paraphernalia (scissors, pins, tape measure, etc.)
An extensive handout will be available as a PDF file.
If students do not finish their hoods, another class will be scheduled.
