A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was born in 1991. In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records, and the ball started rolling. In 1995, Jeff Pike performed with Jimmy Buffett at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia. The show was recorded and released as “Jimmy Buffett’s Barometer Soup Radio Special.” A show, which along with Jeff’s performance, still receives regular rotation on Jimmy Buffett’s “Radio Margaritaville” on SiriusXM RadioA1A has been extremely instrumental in the fundamental building and growth of the International Parrot Head Club community and the Trop Rock and Coastal Americana Music genres as they are today. They were the first band to repeatedly headline the annual Jimmy Buffett ‘Meeting of The Minds’ Parrot Head Convention and many more landmark yearly Parrot Head Events. Including the past four years (2017-2020) as the headline act at ‘Music On The Bay.’ ‘Music On The Bay‘ has been voted the number one Trop Rock Music Festival in America for the past nine years.
