“What Is Human?” is an intimate reflective and creative zine-making workshop that invites participants to explore one of the oldest and most complex questions: What does it mean to be human?
Across two sessions we’ll slow down and turn inward — thinking about how we define ourselves what shapes our identities and whether we fit within the definitions we inherit from culture memory and experience. Through guided reflections discussions and hands-on creative work participants will transform personal thoughts and memories into expressive visual zines.
A zine (short for magazine or fanzine) is a small self-published handmade booklet — a format beloved by artists activists and dreamers for its freedom and authenticity. In this workshop the zine becomes a vessel for exploring the deeply human: awareness conscience connection and personal storytelling.
You don’t need to be an artist to participate — just bring curiosity openness and the willingness to play and reflect.
To make your zine truly yours please bring:
- A few old magazines newspapers or printouts with images or text you like
- Photos ticket stubs or small personal mementos (optional but encouraged)
- Scissors glue stick pens and markers for cutting and assembling your pages
(Basic materials — paper additional art supplies and binding tools — will be provided.)
