We are hosting a FREE wellbeing day for women in York who would like to enhance their creative skills and improve their maths, English, and IT abilities.

Thanks to project funding from Better Connect, via the The Mayoral Combined Authority’s Skills Innovation Fund we can continue our focus on working with Women In York. We will be hosting a day focused on mindfulness, photography, crafts, and wellbeing on Wednesday, November 19th, from 10 AM to 4 PM, starting at the York Castle Museum. We will explore half of the museum, and you can return at the end of the day if you'd like to see the second half. A light lunch will be provided.

In the afternoon, we will move to the Friends Meeting House on Friargate. We will need your National Insurance number for this project and will ask you to complete some paperwork for the Step UP programme. Please be prepared to fill out paperwork to satisfy our funding requirements.

Please email us to secure your place; it’s on a first-come first-served basis, and we will prioritise women with lower qualifications in English, Maths, or those who lack confidence in their IT skills. 😊

What to Bring:

- Your smartphone for a mindful photography project.

- Willingness to enjoy working together as a team.

- A notepad and pen.

- A water bottle.

We will be offering light snacks and drinks, please dress in warm clothing. Feel free to bring your own snacks if you’d like. Let us know if you have any allergies or special requirements.

If there are any changes on the morning of the event, we will notify you via email.

Recap: Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather. We look forward to seeing you there! Please note that we will be moving from the Castle Museum to the Friends Meeting House on Friargate after lunch, and this walk will take about 10 minutes.

A polite reminder: please do not sign up if you do not genuinely intend to attend, as this may prevent other women who really want to come from getting a spot. We dislike having to turn people away. If you cannot attend the event, PLEASE cancel your ticket, as we have high waiting lists for our events.
