About this Event
On Friday, the weekend starts with An Evening with Brian Hall on behalf of Community Action Nepal at The Rheged Centre in Penrith. Brian is a renowned mountaineer and author whose debut novel High Risk won the prestigious Boardman Tasker award in 2022.
On Saturday you can join us for a supported circular walk at Aira Force and up to Gowbarrow Fell with panoramic views across Ullswater. Take in the breath-taking scenery at your own pace whilst you get to know fellow CAN supporters, trustees and staff along the way.
On Saturday evening we will be hosting reception drinks and a three-course meal in the Regency Restaurant at Leeming House Hotel culminating in a talk from Catherine Moorehead, biographer of Doug Scott – Mountain Guru. This will be followed by an auction and raffle to raise funds for CAN.
Accommodation is available at a discounted rate for both Friday and Saturday night at Leeming House Hotel. Bookings should be made directly with the hotel but please mention you are part of the Community Action Nepal Event to receive your discount. Alternative accommodation is available upon request from CAN.
We really hope you can join us for all or just some of the events we have planned for this very special Weekend with Community Action Nepal.
