"Connecting the Dots: From Tap to Hip-Hop” is presented by the Gogue Center as part of “A Week on Broadway.”Led by April Cook, Broadway Dance Center
"Connecting the Dots: From Tap to Hip-Hop” includes both discussion and movement exercises to explore the throughlines connecting dance and music that inform each other. Cook will discuss ways to educators can connect fundamental ideas of tap, Lindy-Hop and house dance using the shim sham and other universal tap steps as examples of how to connect different dance styles.

This presentation/class is open to educators.
An understanding of dance terminology and a basic proficiency in dance are required to help prevent injury.
