Join us for a series of inspiring talks that celebrate the diverse voices and stories that make Dundee unique. City of Stories brings together speakers from all corners of the city to share their experiences, insights, and passions. Discover the stories that shape our vibrant cultural landscape.A Weather Eye exhibition looks at art inspired by the weather and highlights how artists use colour, form and technique to remind us of the physical qualities of weather as well as how it can provide a metaphor for our thoughts and feelings.
In Scotland, the unpredictable weather has always directly affected the way we live our lives and this is reflected in our language. There are many Scots words to describe the weather and we have matched a number of these to works on display.
The exhibition’s curator will talk about her inspiration behind the show, and highlight some of the wonderful works on display.
A Weather Eye: Art Inspired by the Weather from Dundee’s Fine Art Collection is Free and runs until May 2025.
The event is free but booking is essential. For further details of the events, or if you encounter difficulties booking via Eventbrite, please call Central Library on 01382 431500.
