About this Event
The event is hosted by Michelle Wright, Poet and CEO of Hippie Conquest, who has for the past 10+ years showcased authentic African designs in North Carolina. She’s done this through inclusion of local musicians, poets, designers, makeup artists, models, dancers and many small businesses. And while the show is held in The Queen City each year these proceeds are able to cross country borders to transform the lives of students, artists and business owners in Africa and the diaspora.
This event is for anyone seeking community connection through fashion, arts and culture. The Fashion Show is from 4pm - 7pm, on Sunday, August 28th. GA Tickets are $30 and include a selection of light African cuisine and drinks.
Proceeds from this year’s show will assist Williette Safehouse, which creates sustainable development opportunities for the youth in the disabled community in Liberia, West Africa.
