Our tenth Christmas hear at Owd Martha’s, in that time our event is now supported by Hoyland Remembrance & Parade Group, Hoyland Community Theatre, St Helens School. We have created a lantern parade, lead by our towns Winter King and Queen who switch on our town’s Christmas tree lights. This years Parade is 4th December gathering from 4 pm. Father Christmas and helpers will lead the Parade, congregating around the Christmas Tree. The Town Crier will proclaim the beginning of Christmastide and the Christmas Tree lights switch on. Parade continues back to Owd Martha’s and will continue the festivities in Belmont Club, where we will be entertained by Hoyland Community Theatre, children’s games and good old raffle, tombola stall. Jay James Higgs will perform contemporary festive classic. This is a free event sponsored by Ward Alliance ( Barnsley Council) Flux Creations, Cottage Flowers.
