Three superb acts are coming together for an Americana showcase series featuring James Slater, Mansfield Smith and Mandy Woods.
James Slater is a singer/songwriter living in the west country, his influences however are the other west! over the water in the US. James likes to sing Americana, the musical ethos of the United States, blending folk, country, blues, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, gospel, and other external influences. It is in these American musical roots that James is at home, singing and writing in this style. www.jamestblues.com
Mansfield Smith are an acoustic Americana duo based in the north Cotswolds, formed in 2012 and consisting of guitar, double bass, harmonica and vocals. They play original songs plus some covers.
Singer-songwriter Mandy Woods, now based in Glastonbury, Somerset, has had a nomadic career in music, crafting songs wherever she has happened to find herself on her unconventional journey. Mandy has lived and performed on both sides of the Atlantic, and her Americana-infused songs of hope, heartbreak, humour and the highway take their inspiration from her own life and the lives of those around her. mandywoods.com
