About this Event
Patricia Sumerling is a professional historian. She has written extensively about Adelaide, its parklands and pubs, its industries, and of course the people, who have given Adelaide its particular style and flavour. Her books include, amongst many more, Elephants and egotists: in search of Samorn of the Adelaide Zoo, Bert Edwards: King of the West End, The Adelaide Parklands: a social history, as well as a novel The Noon Lady of Towitta. She was official historian for the City of Adelaide for six years. Her experience also includes heritage consultancy, archive and record management and oral history.
Patricia’s knowledge, sensitivity and her vivacious personality promise a Tuesday Talk not to be missed.
