Join our local history buffs in paying tribute to Marshal John Bowman, who was assassinated in Punta Gorda on January 29, 1903. His murder started a chain of tragedy that extended to the * probably * innocent man who was convicted of his death.The event starts with speakers Theresa Murtha, Frank Desguin and Richard Ferrara. We'll have a break time with pizza from Pizza Gorda, Harbor Scoops ice cream, and refreshments available for purchase.
Following the break, we'll have an auction of art, antiques and vintage collectibles to raise money for the family of Sergeant Elio Diaz (end-of-watch December 15, 2024). Door prizes for attendees!
