About this Event
Join us for a powerful and immersive presentation honoring the life and legacy of Harriet Tubman and the enduring strength of the African American journey.
This narrated performance tells the story of faith, freedom, and perseverance—from the Underground Railroad to the modern-day movement for equality. Actors will gesture and move in harmony with narration, accompanied by powerful music, images, and video clips. The theme song, “We Are Climbing Jacob’s Ladder,” will weave throughout the experience as a call to unity and hope.
Guests are invited to explore the Black History Museum Walkthrough in the church fellowship hall, featuring historical displays and personal artifacts shared by members across the Camden District.
The event will conclude with a presentation on the History of the A.M.E. Zion Church, celebrating the denomination’s foundational role in liberation and leadership throughout African American history.
