About this Event
Discover the magic of Thai cuisine and its ability to balance sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy flavors with ease. Food writer and chef-instructor Shawnie Kelley will guide you through Thai flavor profiles, culinary traditions, and where to find specialty ingredients right here in Columbus.
This healthy, generally gluten-free cuisine is showcased in three popular dishes you'll learn to make:
- Classic Pad Thai: Built in a wok with aromatic herbs, rice noodles, and bean sprouts, this dish comes together quickly in a whirlwind of flavor.
- Green Curry Chicken: The mellower cousin of red curry, this dish combines a subtle heat with sweetness and is served over fragrant Jasmine rice.
- Thai Basil Vegetables: A quick stir-fry bursting with vibrant colors and flavors, perfect as a side or a standalone vegetarian meal.
Whether you’re new to Thai cuisine or a seasoned cook, all “woks” of life are welcome in our classes!
