π Step into the spirit of the season at our Taste of St. Nicholas Ball Review!
A joyful afternoon for new, newer, and returning dancers β or anyone who simply loves another opportunity to dance, learn, and celebrate the coming holiday season!
This workshop is the perfect place to warm up for Ball Season β and a wonderful introduction for anyone new to English Country Dance.
No prior experience is required, and everyone is welcome!
π COME LEARN THE DANCES featured at our HOLIDAY BALL!
π Please note: To attend the St. Nicholas Holiday Ball, dancers must have participated in at least one English Country Dance class.
This workshop counts β so itβs the ideal place to start!
Along the way, there will be plenty of time to ask questions, enjoy friendly conversation, and gather tips and pointers to help you feel confident and comfortable at the Ball.
π BONUS WALTZ FOOTWORK CLASS:
After a dinner break, return to the hall for a wonderful Rotary Waltz Footwork Class led by Christopher Gauntt β perfect for polishing your turning technique and adding elegance to your dancing.
π COSTUME & ACCESSORIES FUNDRAISER pop-up; Perfect for the final touches of your outfits!
During the afternoon, enjoy a costume, accessory, and gift pop-up sale right at the event! Discover vintage treasures, custom-made creations, and specialty items and help raise money towards our

1:00 β 5:00 PM β Ball Review, Specialty dances & Prep Session with Darlene Hamilton
Includes instruction on Group dances and specialty dances Rotary Waltz, Bohemian National Polka, and Laendlar, all this along with a cheerful moment for tea mid-afternoon (potluck offerings welcome!)
5:00 β 6:00 PM β Dinner Break: Enjoy one of the many nearby quick serve restaurants.
6:00 β 7:30 PM β Bonus Rotary Waltz Class with Christopher Gauntt
π MORE THINGS TO KNOW:
Beginners welcome! No partner needed β partners rotate and everyone is friendly.
π Please wear comfortable, smooth-soled shoes suitable for a wood floor (no rubber soles or spiky heels).
