About this Event
LOVESTRUCK BOOKS PRESENTS: A TASTE OF MAH JONGG WITH LAURA ZOLL
Join us on Friday, February 28 for an exciting evening at Lovestruck Books, where we'll dive into the world of Mah Jongg! Hosted by Laura Zoll, a seasoned player with over 20 years of experience, this event offers a fun introduction to the fascinating game that combines the beautiful Chinese set of tiles with American rules and strategies.
🎟 Tickets: Event entry is free, but we ask that you RSVP via Eventbrite for entry.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your strategic mind or simply want an evening of games and camaraderie, Mah Jongg has a way of bringing people together—one tile at a time.
Please note: While we’ll walk you through the basics and give you a taste of the game, this one-session event won’t turn you into a Mah Jongg pro just yet (but we can’t promise you won’t get hooked!).
Gather around the table with soon-to-be friends, come for the game, and stay for the fun. We can’t wait to see you there.
Tickets are limited, so don’t wait! If the event sells out, you can add yourself to our waitlist. If any spots become available, you'll have 24 hours to register before we offer them to the next person.
🀀 If you already have a 2024 official National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card, please remember to bring it with you. The Mah Jongg new year starts on April 1, so we will still be using the 2024 card for this session.
For beginners, Laura will be providing a handout with sample hands to help you get started.
