Join a guided walk and take in the fascinating sights and stories of our historic Downtown with refrehments to-go!
This tasty walk is presented by the St. Catharines Downtown Association and St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre and is led by Adrian Petry, public historian, and Visitor Services Coordinator at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre. The tour will stop at historic locations and local cafes to take in some of the amazing things you can enjoy downtown: history and coffee!
$ 30 per person. The price includes refreshments.
Downtown East
Tour dates: July 13 & October 5
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The East tour starts at community-centric Mahtay Cafe and takes you down historic King & St. Paul Street exploring the rich history of the east side of Downtown. The tour ends at the Pocket Change!
Take the Downtown West tour too!
Tour dates: May 25 & August 10
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The West tour has a stunning start at The Brazen Cafe and explores the west side of Downtown including the history of Montebello Park, Market Square, and more!
About the St. Catharines Downtown Association
The St. Catharines Downtown Association (SCDA) is a non-profit organization that represents approximately 700 members including commercial property owners, retailers, restaurants, and professional offices in the designated BIA (Business Improvement Area).

About Adrian Petry:
Adrian Petry is a public historian and Visitor Services Coordinator at the St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre. He holds a BA in History from Brock University and an MA in Public History from Western University. Adrian has been practicing public history and heritage interpretation in heritage sites and museums for 15 years.
