A Taste of Diversity: Workshop & Cultural Experience
Join Waste Not Want Not for a unique and interactive workshop that celebrates diversity through food, music, and conversation. The workshop will help you develop cooking skills, reduce waste and show how communities can be brought together through food.
Hosted by Big Maya’s Jerk, this hands-on session will involve cooking delicious Afro-Caribbean dishes while dancing along the way. Participants will be encouraged to explore their own heritage, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural identities and engage in discussions about the importance of bringing communities together to avoid hate crimes, unconscious bias, and to build thriving areas together.
Expect a blend of culture, flavors, and meaningful dialogue in a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Whether you’re passionate about food, interested in cultural exchange, or looking to learn more about social issues, this workshop offers something for everyone.
