About Michelle Wolfson
A beekeeper for 9 years, currently manages 4 apiaries from Muskoka to Toronto and serves on the organizing committee for the Urban Toronto Beekeeper’s Association.
In 2021 Michelle broke new ground by designing and building a mobile honey extraction trailer to serve small to medium scale beekeepers who have neither the time nor the resources. As a professional chef, Michelle also runs tutored varietal honey tastings and cooking lessons using honey as the main ingredient.

About the Urban Toronto Beekeepers' Association
The is practicing sustainable beekeeping, through education and mentorship to urban beekeepers located in the greater Toronto region.
Their members include people interested in becoming beekeepers and those who have been beekeepers for a decade or more; beekeepers with just one or two backyard hives in the city and a few who are commercial beekeepers who manage dozens of hives; beekeepers who live in the city but have apiaries in rural areas and more.

Toronto Gone Wild explores the city as a multi-layered habitat — starring the animals, plants, and insects that call Toronto home.
You will venture through different Torontonian terrains from city streets to burrows, hives, and nests, all seamlessly woven together in our downtown exhibition space.
See for yourself just how much we share with our animal neighbours in the struggle for food, housing, and community. You may have more in common with that white squirrel at Trinity Bellwoods than you think.
