About this Event
Florence Li Tim-Oi was ordained 80 years ago, on January 25, 1944, becoming the first woman to be a priest in the Anglican Communion. The Li Tim-Oi Foundation wa founded by Rita Lee Chui, Tim-Oi's sister, and Christopher Hall, son of the bihop who ordained Tim-Oi. The Foundation "empowers Christian women as agents of change within their own culture" with educational grants throughout the Angilican Communion. We will learn of the 30-year vital work of this organization in educating and empowering women. Members of the Global Women's Fund of the EDNY will also be present.
A reception with light refreshments will follow.
