A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams remains one of the most influential works of the American stageāan intimate, emotionally charged exploration of vulnerability, identity, and the tension between illusion and reality. Set in New Orleans, the play follows Blanche DuBois as she seeks refuge with her sister Stella, only to confront the complexities of her past and the strain of her present circumstances.Directed by Brenen Hankins, this is a LUEY production (Let Us Entertain You), a program of Oklahoma Performing Arts dedicated to creating meaningful theatrical experiences for both artists and audiences.
Please note: this production contains mature themes, moments, and language that may be considered triggering and may be unsuitable for young children.
This production is supported in part by the Arts Alliance of Tulsa, Broken Arrow Rotary Club, The Corn Popper, Candle Electric, and the Tulsa and Broken Arrow community, whose continued investment helps bring thoughtful, impactful theatre to our stage.
