Oldham Theatre Workshop and Oldham Youth Voice Team are currently taking bookings for an exciting new touring theatre production called ‘A Standard Day’.
With Mental Health still showing in the top 5 issues for Make Your Mark consultation the Oldham Youth Council continue working towards making a difference with this issue.
Over the past 8 years, starting with the SNAP campaign then the I Love Me campaign the youth council has raised awareness of mental health with young people but felt nothing had had a major impact.
This performance focuses on themes of social anxiety and the mental health issues facing young people living in Oldham today.
This production has been created to provoke thought and stimulate active discussion about young people’s emotional health and wellbeing.
Four young people, they don’t know each other. They might never know each other, but something happens to each of them on a standard day in their lives.
Something that brings them closer than anyone could have thought.
- The performance is suitable for Years 7 – 11
- The performance will last 20 minutes with an interactive workshop lasting 25 minutes
- There will be 10 members of the cast and facilitation team
