A Spyglass Through Time

This October, join us for an epic adventure through time as a creative team of co-creators and Theatre Space North East invite you to an immersive new show in the spectacular surroundings of historic Seventeen Nineteen.

A Spyglass Through Time sees four teens getting more than they bargained for after seeking a thrill by sneaking in to Holy Trinity Church one cold autumn evening as midnight approaches. Cue disturbed artifacts and unlocked secrets, bringing an array of local stories and characters - heroes, mysterious orphans, graverobbers… and more! - bursting into life and presenting our transfixed teens with a bit of a pickle.

Will the teens solve the mystery of the missing artifacts and set things right before midnight finally strikes, or before they are discovered?

Find out in this brand new immersive promenade performance, especially created by a fantastic local team of co-creators for audiences to experience the building in a way that they have never done before!

Suitable for all ages and lasting around 75 minutes (no interval)

Booking essential. Tickets are available from Eventbrite and are priced at £5.

Performance dates and times:

Thursday 24 – Sunday 27 October.

Arrival from 7.00pm. Performance begins at 7.30pm.

Latecomers policy:

Please note due to the nature of the performance, latecomers arriving after 7.30pm will not be admitted. Please ensure you plan your journey with plenty of time to spare.

Accessibility:

This event is a promenade performance, which means the audience will be moving around the building to experience the show. The show will take place on the ground floor which has level access throughout. If you will require a seat during the performance, please book an Access ticket below.
