GRIEF is not something we are meant to carry alone. In many traditions, people have gathered to grieve together—to give sorrow a voice, to move it through the body, to let it be witnessed and held in community. THIS RITUAL is an invitation to step into that ancient practice. You do not need to have lost someone to take part. This space is open to all forms of grief—personal loss, unfulfilled dreams, ancestral sorrow, the pain of the world, or anything else your heart carries. Whatever wants to be honored, released, or expressed is welcome.
As a palliative care psychologist, I have walked alongside many in times of loss and transition.
Through guided ritual, sound, and shared presence, we will create a sacred space where grief can be witnessed, be seen, be expressed and move.
What to bring
• An item for the communal altar (a flower, stone, photo, or anything meaningful to you)
• Comfortable clothing suited for being outdoors
• If you feel called, a small offering—this could be a candle, food, or anything that feels right to contribute to the space. This event is not about money, but about sharing in ritual.
Practical details
• No prior experience is needed—come as you are.
• The ritual will last approximately 5 hours.
• You are welcome to sit in silence, witness, or actively participate—there is no “right” way to grieve.
• Please arrive on time so we can begin together.
If this speaks to you, feel free to join. Let’s tend to grief as it was meant to be tended—together.
Warmly,
Katja
