Lindsay Lucas (LA)

The voice and pen behind iconic samples and production used by acclaimed Hip-Hop artists such as French Montana, Russ, 03 Greedo, JAY ELECTRONICA, A$AP Twelvyy, Roc Marciano, and more, quadruple threat (vocalist, producer, rapper, songwriter) Lindsay Lucas shares original music that seamlessly blends 'old' and 'new' into a unique sonic fusion. Known for her smooth-but-smoky vocals and rich lyricism, Lucas' soulful sound is rooted in R&B and infused with elements of hip-hop, reggae, and almost everything else in between. Mikey Jose (Vancouver, Canada):

If someone could live in the soulful intersection of R&B, gospel, folk and pop, that’s likely where Mikey Jose would make his home. In fact, it is the space between genres, fields, and environments where he has found comfort. His church-influenced, science-immersed, art-filled, culturally-overlapping background has provided him with a unique perspective on the world, informing his mantra: music is medicine. Drawing influence from vocal heavy-hitters like Stevie Wonder, Allen Stone, Jazmine Sullivan, and Lucky Daye, Mikey Jose has crafted his own sonic signature featuring intentional melodies and lyrics that reflect the unique complexities of existing in the 21st century. His pen has touched songs that have streamed 6 million+ times over his short tenure releasing music.

DJ Spence (LA):

Danny Spence is a longtime DJ, rapper, producer, and the owner of Austin Boogie Crew Records. Behind the turntables he combines boogie, disco, modern funk, hip-hop, R&B, international, & electronic sounds with a smooth approach and a splash of turntablism. In 2003 he began spinning records in his hometown of Austin, TX. After cutting his teeth deejaying in local clubs and on KJHK 90.7FM radio in Lawrence, KS, Spence returned home and founded the Austin Boogie Crew (ABC) in 2011. The birth of the ABC DJ collective coincided with the launch of The Boogie, an 80’s funk party still going strong in both Austin and Los Angeles. ABC expanded into a record label in 2014 with Spence assuming the role of Executive Producer. The Black owned imprint pushes soulful, synth-heavy, club-friendly music from around the world. They’ve released 19 projects and moved over 10,000 vinyl records, putting out “some of the finest revivalist boogie, synth-disco, '80s soul and electronic funk of the last few years” (Juno Records). As a rapper, Spence draws strong influence from Southern acts like UGK and Outkast. He’s released numerous solo efforts and collaborative projects with rappers Disco and Crazy-T, touring in Japan and the States in the process. He’s resided in LA since 2015 and operates a branch of The Boogie there with Ghost.
