Come and join St John the Evangelist, Preston, Brighton for A Solstice Celebration on Wednesday 10 December 6.00PM - 7.30PMCome and share the seasonal warmth of fire and friendship in the new Community Garden of St John the Evangelist, entrances in Knoyle Road and Preston Road.
This family-friendly event will include a short play, "As the Year Turns" an age-old Solstice story. It's the Holly King's bid to keep the world in Winter darkness and prevent the coming of the Light. Spoiler alert - he doesn't succeed!
This will be followed by mince pies, mulled wine, or hot chocolate, with carol singing around the fire as we welcome, together, the coming of the Light - marking in our own way the Christian message of light overcoming darkness.
Wrap up warm and bring your own lantern!
