Welcome to our next exhibit, "Monumental", a solo exhibit by the young and talented painter Raul Colmenares!Join us for the Opening Reception on June 1st 6-10 PM. In addition to original paintings by Colmenares, there will also be fine art prints available for purchase, as well Mexi-Rican food truck, beer, wine, and music.
The exhibit runs for one week June 1st- June 8th

BIO:
Born in Venezuela in 1994, Raul Colmenares spent his formative years studying in Jacksonville, Miami, New York, and Ocala honing his skills in drawing and painting. He currently lives and works in Ocala, Florida and he showcases his art across the state.
Colmenares’ talent has been recognized with several accolades. In May of 2018, he was awarded the Artist Spotlight award at the College of Central Florida. The following year, he clinched the Best of Show prize at the Emerging Artist Competition hosted by the city of Ocala. Last year, Colmenares exhibited at the Ocala Arts Festival hosted by Fine Arts for Ocala (FAFO), earning an Emerging Artist award.
Now, more driven than ever before, Colmenares is currently working on his first solo show “Monumental”, opening June 1st, 2024 at Shapot Art Gallery.
