Narrated by international opera star Jennifer Johnston and featuring 7 different instrumentalists, it tells of a young soldier who sells his violin - and his soul - to the devil. With its jazz-infused score and supplementary artwork by Clive Hicks-Jenkins, don't miss this rare opportunity to hear Stravinsky's macabre fable performed here on the Wirral.The first half of the concert will feature Liverpool Brass Quintet, who return to the festival after giving its inaugural concert back in 2021.
