Thomas Ostermeier om teater i eit sosiologisk perspektiv
Regissør og teatersjef Thomas Ostermeier kjem til Fossefestivalen og held eit foredrag om teater i eit sosiologisk perspektiv. Ostermeier tek for seg korleis teateret speglar det samfunnet det spring ut av – som institusjon, som sosial praksis og som kunstnarleg uttrykk. Med utgangspunkt i eigne erfaringar som mangeårig leiar for Schaubühne i Berlin reflekterer han over teateret si rolle i møte med samtidas politiske og sosiale utfordringar.
Schaubühne gjestar DIFF- Den Internasjonale Fossefestivalen med framsyninga Kven drap far min av og med Edouard Louis, i regi av Thomas Ostermaier.
Dette foredraget er ein del av fagprogrammet til DIFF. Det er gratis å delta, men du må hente ut billett.

Lecture with Thomas Ostermeier: A sociological perspective on theatre
Director and theatre leader Thomas Ostermeier comes to the Fosse Festival to give a lecture on theatre from a sociological perspective. Ostermeier will explore how theatre reflects the society it emerges from – as an institution, as a social practice, and as an artistic expression. Drawing on his many years of experience as artistic director of the Schaubühne in Berlin, he reflects on the role of theatre in addressing contemporary political and social challenges.
Schaubühne visits DIFF – the International Fosse Festival – with the performance Who Killed My Father by and with Édouard Louis, directed by Thomas Ostermeier.
This lecture is part of the professional program of DIFF. Admission is free, but you must reserve a ticket.
The lecture will be held in English.
