About this Event
Let’s say you’re an upcoming film director looking for seasoned actors for a new short film - or you’re interested in guitar and wanting to make music with someone who knows production - or maybe you’re someone just looking to be inspired.
In a city as massive as New York, it can be hard to find friendly faces and explore different hobbies and passions. Some people are actively pursuing a new career, while others are looking to experiment with their interests. The biggest problem we face is where to look to find one another.
Passion Project Returns with our third mixer focused on bringing diverse creatives, young professionals, and everything in between under one roof to connect, throw out project ideas, and enjoy new company. One of the most powerful things in today’s world is being able to put your own ideas into action. Think more grabbing drinks (or not) and vibing with new friends and less shaking hands and passing resumes. We’re shaking it up this time and hosting after hours at a coffee shop - but not to worry, drinks will still be available.
We want to create a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and heard.
This event encourages people with all types of interests and skill levels to come out, including film, digital media, music, fashion, tech, entrepreneurship, and more.
What To Expect:
We know it can be a bit nerve-wracking to walk into a room full of strangers but there will be plenty of friendly faces you can talk to. We’ll be on aux playing some Latin/Afro/Hip-Hop tunes. Expect to end the night with a new friend or two and maybe even a new passion project to pursue. Whether you’re just starting out with your creative journey or are an established industry professional, you’ll make valuable connections at this event.
