Community members are invited to join the Long Island Collection for a drop-in pop-up exhibit. This informal event is part of a series that encourages visitors to explore and learn about items in the Long Island Collection.
This exhibit will feature images, maps, and documents that record the history of East Hampton's business district, particularly the areas around Main Street and Newtown Lane. Visitors can expect to see maps indicating property ownership, along with photographs and postcards related to East Hampton's businesses.
No registration is necessary. This exhibit will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, from 4 to 7pm, and librarians will be available to answer questions.
