Happy Advent Friends! Just a reminder to mark your calendars now for The Choristers Traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols for Christmas. This service - London's most faithful recreation of the Traditional Lessons and Carols Service broadcast each Christmas Eve by the BBC - will take place on Friday, December 19th at 7 PM. The performance will feature the world premiere of a new carol by British composer Oliver Tarney, entitled: 'A Winter's Night Carol'. Oliver Tarney was born in 1984 and educated in Lancaster, moving on to read music at Manchester university. After completing a Master's Degree in composition, and training as a teacher, he is now Assistant Director of Music at Tiffin School, Kingston, after holding the position of Head of Academic Music and Composition at Winchester College in Hampshire. He is well known as an innovative and highly creative composer. His choral compositions have been performed by England's most famous choirs and his work's are published by Oxford University Press.
