A Sea of Gold and Burgundy presents “Monarch Mosaic”, an album release concert. Come help us celebrate the creation and launch of our new work! The concert will feature two very different sets from the band celebrating both the intimate singing and songwriting and the movers and the shakers
What to expect: arrive between 7 and 8 PM, shake off your boots, hang up your coat, see some friendly faces. Have yourself a drink, a conversation, maybe a handshake, a hug, a laugh.
The band to goes on as a trio and offer some of the treasures they bring in close harmony, walk through the doors of those metaphors, sing-along with the prompts.
After a short break, the band comes out again with special guests, get on your feet for movers and shakers. Move, shake, sway, follow your bodies inclination, dance and stir it up along with the music. Join in the world we’re building with image projection floor to ceiling, and the lights aglow. Feel the warmth, of friendship, of loving music, of songs crafted to uplift, with Care and shared with passion and pleasure.
There will be albums! Our new baby! Tangible, touchable, available to take home for a bit of energy exchange. Embrace what has taken a large team and a load of effort to make, a production! Records that are a world to enter into, the life of the songs available to open up to!
“Monarch Mosaic” is an album of recordings made between Monterrey Mexico, and Niagara Falls, Canada. We celebrate that the monarch butterflies travel between both places. The butterflies provide symbols of transcendence and transformation through the growth and life that they live out. From an early life in a form very different than what they become, from a dark chrysalis to spreading their wings traversing great distances. Our album goes on a journey and we hope you will join us.
The album is a mosaic in the sense that the music carries different styles, attitudes, lyrical perspectives and different lyrical approaches, and comes from the varied perspectives that we bring into our music. We hope that you will enjoy sharing and celebrating the birth of this recording, the culmination of countless hours of passion, work and energy to make it happen. We’re grateful for the full team that brought this work to life from the believers that keep us going to collaborators, producers, engineers, instrumentalists, editors, mixers, artists, and more.
