About this Event
Experience an evening of poetry and storytelling as presented by the master of macabre and imagination himself, Edgar Allan Poe.
Enjoy salon-style recitations of Poe's poetry as well as a reenactment of his chilling story, The Tell-Tale Heart, often considered a classic of the Gothic fiction genre and one of Poe's best known short stories
William G. Krejci will be portraying Edgar Allan Poe alongside other caracter actors during a warm and romantic evening -albeit terribly terrifying- at the legendary Franklin Castle – one of the world’s most famous haunted houses.
Be prepared for an Immersive Experience in all its intriguing mystery and magnetism within a very limited circle of guests. This unforgettable evening is not merely about ghost stories, rather, about embracing an attitude of elegant gothic decadence at the height of the Romantic period in 1843...
What to Expect: Storytelling in the Great Hall – Guests are welcomed through the front door and offered to choose their seats as they settle in for the theatrical performance. This will include 6 to 8 poetry recitations, as well as a reenactment of The Tell-Tale Heart. Following the performance, music from the Romantic period will be played and hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Can't make this event ? No problem! You can always book an with us at the Franklin Castle here!
We highly encourage all visitors to experiment and enjoy in dressing up to embody their very best self in the new year and even - why not ? - during the whole year and thereafter for I can't think of one single good reason for dressing yourself down.
