Press Release: A Rodgers & Hammerstein Celebration
Soprano Camilla Gehring and baritone David Anderson, accompanied by pianist Bogdan Minut, will present their third annual concert of Broadway favorites and rediscoveries on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 7 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. This year’s theme is A Rodgers & Hammerstein Celebration. As this year is the 60th anniversary of The Sound of Music, Camilla and David will perform a song or duet from every show by the celebrated Broadway team, even their less successful shows that are rarely performed. Camilla’s sets will include favorites from The Sound of Music, The King and I, Flower Drum Song, and Oklahoma. David’s sets will include songs from Carousel, Oklahoma!, Pipe Dream, and South Pacific. They will also sing several duets. The Minut Piano Duo (Mirabella & Bogdan Minut) will perform a four-hand piano version of the beloved “Waltz” from Carousel.
Admission is free, freewill donations are welcome.
A fundraising dinner in support of ALFA (a Friends of Haiti project) will be offered in the Parish Hall of the church from 6:00-7:00 pm.
