The City of Asheboro cordially invites the public to join Mayor David H. Smith who will present Asheboro Transformed: Building a Better Future in a Time of Change, a talk reflecting on the city’s progress and accomplishments during his time as Mayor and a member of the governing board. The event will be hosted by Randolph Community College and take place Wednesday, February 19 at the JB & Claire Davis Training in Asheboro. Breakfast will be provided at 8:00 a.m. and the program will begin at 8:30 a.m.; tickets are not required for the event. A welcome from Dr. Shah Ardalan, President/CEO of Randolph Community College will kick-off the morning.
With Mayor Smith in what is expected to be his final year in office, he will share with attendees reflections on his tenure as Mayor and offer an exclusive “behind-the-scenes” perspective on the contemporary plans and ideas that shaped the city into what it is today. The audience also will be given an overview of the many changes anticipated to occur in Asheboro and beyond in the coming years.
