Born in Nigeria, Chine moved to the UK at the age of four. Reading theology & religious studies at Cambridge University before working a journalist for national papers. She is the director of Theos think tank and prior to that headed up community fundraising and public engagement at international development charity Christian Aid.
A regular contributor to BBC Religion & Ethics programmes, including Thought for the Day on Radio 4’s Today programme, the Daily Service, and Prayer for the Day. Her first book ‘Am I Beautiful?’ – explored body image among women of faith.
Chine is involved in the boards of Greenbelt Festival and Christians in Media; and regularly speaks on issues of race and faith.
