A Practice to Dispel Obstacles - half day meditation course

We often find ourself frustrated by obstacles or hindrances – both external and internal. When our mind is filled with negative thoughts and delusions, such as attachment, anger and ignorance, we experience great harm and suffering. Fortunately, there is a special method we can engage in to remove these internal obstacles, our delusions, and their effects, the difficulties appearing in our life.

The Heart Sutra or Essence of Wisdom Sutra is the condensed presentation of The Perfection of Wisdom Sutras taught by Buddha Shakyamuni. This practice contains a special method for averting and overcoming hindrances in general and the ‘mara’ or ‘demon’ of delusions in particular with recitation and contemplation of this powerful sutra. We can engage in this practice either for our own sake or for the benefit of others.

Chanting The Heart Sutra does not require deep meditation experience to work. Emerge feeling lighter, wiser, and empowered to overcome obstacles in daily life.

Join our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunden for a special Saturday morning meditation course, to learn how to engage in this special practice to dispel obstacles.

Each session will consist of short teachings, prayers and meditations with refreshments between sessions.
