About this Event
Real Talk for Change is a community-centered experience presented in partnership with realtalk@Boston and the MIT Center for Constructive Communication, grounded in the belief that democracy begins with listening.
Through this work, local community-based organizations and residents came together to explore a shared question: How might we transform Boston into a Listening City?
Drawing from stories gathered through facilitated community conversations across the city, The Poetic Artiste transformed a selection of conversations into original poetry and visual art.
Guests are invited to explore the gallery, engage with the Listening Wall through magnetic poetry, and reflect on the themes shaping our neighborhoods, with a special focus on the lived experiences of creatives in Boston.
The evening also features a panel of six artists and small business owners sharing their perspectives on creativity, community, and navigating life in the city.
Guests may also take home complimentary art and poetry bookmarks—because listening continues beyond the room.
