About the Artists:
Ian Foster is a storyteller from Newfoundland. That music and film are the ways he tells those stories only makes the telling richer still. Once described by CBC’s Bob Mersereau as being “a fine example of what a 21st century folk performer should be doing,” Foster continues to evolve and defy genre, as his latest forthcoming album and film project Close to the Bone (2022) illustrates. Ian has toured in Canada, the U.S, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, and Italy, and has had his music played on radio internationally. He is a MusicNL and ECMA (East Coast Music Award) winner, a finalist for the International Songwriting Competition, and has numerous co-writes to his credit, including the legendary folk songwriter, Ron Hynes.

Sharon King-Campbell is a theatre and literary artist based in Ktaqmkuk. She was the 2017 recipient of the Rhonda Payne Award and is a four-time winner of the Arts and Letters Awards in fiction, dramatic script, and poetry. Her plays Original and Give Me Back have reached audiences throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and mainland Canada, and the Canadian premiere of Dayboil was the winner of 6 Robert Merritt Awards. Her collection of poetry, This Is How It Is, was published in 2021, and Dayboil in 2024, both with Breakwater Books. Sharon holds a BFA and a MA from Memorial University, where she is currently pursuing her PhD.
Nico Paulo is a Portuguese Canadian musician and visual artist. Her critically acclaimed, self-titled debut (April 2023) introduced listeners to her melodically dynamic, open-hearted songwriting as she explored the interconnected nature of relationships and the flow of time in lush, sophisticated pop arrangements. Her upcoming EP, Interval o (March 2025), finds presence in the process of becoming, celebrating transformational time with intuitive songwriting in warm ambient and minimalist soundscapes. Both records owe their textural intricacy to friend and collaborator Joshua Van Tassel (Villages, Fortunate Ones).
