'A Phoenix Bearing Gifts' is the traditional 'home base' festive offering for 2025 by the singing men of Norwich’s Phoenix Male Voice Choir featuring seasonal songs and carols to celebrate Christmas.
The members of one of Norfolk's premier choirs for men not only bring their presence to an evening performance at 7.30pm on Saturday 6th December but the concert will be presented again the following week Saturday 13th December in an afternoon matinee at 2.30pm. The matinee will appeal to anyone who would prefer not to attend a winter evening performance and is also an opportunity for families across several generations to attend and hear the Choir. And it’s Christmas so there are half-price tickets for accompanied 16 years and under attending the matinee concert!
Following in the 4-part harmony singing tradition of the celebrated male choirs Phoenix are led as usual by Musical Director Sarah Grimes Mi-Sung Lee is the Choir Accompanist and with refreshments on hand during the interval the Choir promises two enjoyable and friendly concerts of male voice choral song along with customary solo and group contributions from within its own ranks and requests during the concert for audience participation!
The Choir will be fundraising for its 2025 Charity of the Year Nelson’s Journey (Charity No. 1170605) by holding a raffle and a retiring bucket collection at both concerts all proceeds of which will be donated to the work Nelson's Journey does supporting children and young people following bereavement.
Tickets are on sale from the Choir's online Box Office at: www.NorwichPhoenixMVC.org/tix with unsold tickets available on the door 30 minutes before the concerts start with all major debit and credit cards being accepted. Tickets: £10 (Afternoon Matinee only accompanied 16 years and under £5)
The Choir looks forward to welcoming you into the Christmas Season with a festive concert of song!
