Stacey and Bel are the proud owners of Cakes & Sh*t, a beloved bakery in Paddington that has brought joy and deliciousness to the local community for the last two years. Known for their quirky, fun, and downright cheeky creations, the bakery has become a hub for those looking to add a bit of humour to their celebrations. However, recent challenges have taken an unexpected toll on the two young owners and their business.
Stacey, co-owner of Cakes & Sh*t, was diagnosed with a rare tumour in her colorectal area, leading to a long and complex medical journey. After a failed biopsy attempt resulted in a severe infection, she spent over a month in hospital and continues to recover. With further tests and a critical surgery on the horizon, Stacey’s hands-on involvement in the business has been limited, leaving Bel to manage things on her own. As a result, the physical shopfront has had to temporarily close, and Cakes & Sh*t is now operating solely online. Despite the challenges, both Stacey and Bel are determined to keep the bakery going during this difficult time, continuing to serve their loyal customers while navigating an uncertain future.
This fundraiser is an opportunity for the community to come together and support a local business that has given so much joy. All proceeds will go towards helping Stacey and Bel with their financial duress and to keep Cakes & Sh*t afloat while they focus on Stacey's impending surgery and recovery, with the hope that the doors will open once again to the vibrant and cheeky bakery everyone loves.
