✨Telling Our Stories Through Food 2026✨Join master storyteller Laura Packer for an afternoon celebrating Jewish food, stories, and folklore. Laura will share tales that explore the origins (true or exaggerated) of some of our favorite foods, the cleverness of our bakers and cooks, the ways food helps us remember who we are, and how food is interwoven into Jewish life even now.
3pm - A nosh, a nibble, and a story: Haimish Tales
3:45pm - "Eat the folktales:" catered reception
4pm - Storytelling workshop: Tales so good you can eat them up
Everyone has stories to tell, and there are no more delicious stories than those we tell about food. The family dinner when... How you got a recipe for... The way Aunt Betty cooked your favorite soup... and more! This highly interactive workshop, led by Laura Packer, will help you find your stories about food and family. Participants will be led through an easy and comfortable story crafting and sharing process, so by the end you'll have a story to share, a recipe to cook up more stories, and the appetite to do it again. Come with an appetite to listen and share, and you will be full of stories by the end.
