Join us for a powerful musical worship experience as the VUMC Chancel Choir presents A Noel Celebration: Sounds and Stories of Christmas, featuring the beautiful music of Lloyd Larson, Marty Parks, and Jay Rouse.
This collaborative Christmas cantata invites us to encounter the Nativity through the eyes of those who witnessed it firsthand. Through dramatic monologues, we hear from:
• Zechariah
• Mary
• Joseph
• A Shepherd
• A Wise Man
• Simeon
Each voice shares a unique perspective on the miraculous birth of Jesus, reminding us of the wonder, hope, and promise that entered the world on that holy night.
The narration is interwoven with a stunning blend of original songs and familiar carols, supported by Ed Hogan’s rich orchestration. Whether accompanied by piano or full orchestra, this work brings Scripture to life and invites the congregation to join in singing beloved carols of the season.
