The Confused Breakfast has done it all in the podcasting world. They have peaked at #1 in the world on the movie/film podcast charts, earned over 600,000 social media fans, had their videos watched more than 300 MILLION times, appeared on Bertcast with Bert Kreischer in Los Angeles, spent the day inside The Goonies house in Astoria, Oregon, and were recently named Iowa Podcast of the Year, Entertainment Podcast of the Year and Ensemble Hosts of the Year. But---- they lost out on Comedy Podcast of the Year. So many of their fans have commented about how truly funny the hosts (Mike, Sean and AJ) are. Every episode, the boys have the listeners laughing but losing this award has them thinking- are they actually funny? Is it just because they are hiding behind the mic of a podcast studio? Do they have the comedic chops to try stand up comedy? Can they make a live crowd laugh at their jokes?
Come out to The Classic Event Center in Cedar Rapids, IA on Saturday, November 9th, 2024. Mike, Sean and AJ will each individually be performing a short set of stand-up comedy material to see if they are indeed funny or if they should stick to podcasating.
Headling the evening is one of the funniest comedians in the country right now, Daniel Van Kirk from Los Angeles, CA. Daniel Van Kirk is a stand-up comedian whose comedy has charted at #1 on Apple Music and just released “Rose Gold”, his first special and second album. Daniel has been named a “Comic To Watch” by Comedy Central as well as one of JFL’s 42 in Toronto. You may know him from his characters on Bob’s Burgers (FOX), Physical (Apple TV+), Central Park (Apple TV+), and the lead in the feature film, Wine Club (Prime). Daniel can also be heard on the hit podcasts, "Pen Pals" with partner Rory Scovel, and co-hosting "Dumb People Town" along with The Sklar Brothers.
The show will not be complete with some of the best local Iowa comics. Travis Bails is an Iowa native who got his start in Cedar Rapids and performs all over the Midwest. His high energy and hardships will make your heart melt and your brain explode. He's trying to turn his weird life into something we can all laugh about.
